The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society announced that they will drop the word “Hebrew” and go simply by “HIAS.” They are one of the national federal refugee resettlement contractors screaming for Obama to admit at least 200,000 Syrian refugees regardless of valid security and cost concerns. HIAS and the other resettlement industry contractors have criticized Obama’s measly 10,000 Syrians that he has begun bringing to the U.S. This number of 10,000 is on top of the 70,000 plus of the mostly-sharia-compliant refugees from Islamic America-hating countries.
HIAS, like all resettlement businesses whose revenue is overwhelimingly government money, try to camouflage their extreme political leftism using religious organizational labels. They claim a moral superiority because “they save lives.”
The URJ also supports “Free Choice in Abortion.”
The URJ has a political arm called the Religious Action Center (RAC) whose work and policy positions are “mandated” by the URJ and the various arms of the Reform Jewish movement. The Nashville Temple Ohabai Sholom in Nashville, is a Reform Jewish congregation and a member of the URJ, a recipient of URJ grant money, and as the Temple’s rabbi Shana Mackler says, is a proud supporter of Planned Parenthood.
The Temple is led by senior rabbi Mark Schiftan who shares the URJ’s love of Muslim Islamists. URJ’s immediate past president, rabbi Eric Yoffe, was one of the first Jewish leaders to speak at the annual ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) convention. ISNA was founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood’s first U.S. organization, the Muslim Students Association (MSA). ISNA was also named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial for financing the terrorist group HAMAS. HAMAS, a U.S. designated terrorist organization, the jihadist arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, is dedicated to the destruction of Israel.
Rabbi Schiftan says that Islamists who support the Muslim Brotherhood and HAMAS, are not enemies, just “opponents.” So the Murfreesboro mosque hosting HAMAS supporters like CAIR executive director Nihad Awad and senior Muslim Brotherhood leader and unindicted co-conspirator Jamal Badawi, was not reason enough to keep Schiftan from hauling his congregation to a mosque love-fest. Nor is the fundamentalism of imams trained at Al Ahzar University, the preeminent teaching center of sharia law, enough to keep Schiftan from looking for every public opportunity to validate an ideology focused on destroying Israel.
Yoffe has called John Hagee, an extremist. Hagee is the leader of CUFI (Christians United for Israel), one of Israel’s largest allies and advocates in the U.S. Leftists like Yoffe, and his “Torah of Liberalism” puts support for gays and abortion above sincere and impactful advocacy for the Jewish ancestral homeland.
Abbie Wolf, the Nashville Jewish Federation’s director of the Community Relations Council, shares Yoffe’s pro-Muslim bias and Christianophobia. In advance of a Nashville visit by CUFI’s Executive Director, Wolf published a piece titled “Christian Zionism – do the Concerns Outweigh the Benefits?” She says that the only real value Christian Zionist lovers of Israel bring to the table, is their large voting bloc and their money.
Like Yoffe, Wolf denounces Christian lovers of Israel because they don’t equally love Islamists like HAMAS and other Muslim Brotherhood followers.
Islamist ideology is obsessed with the destruction of Jews and Israel. Do political leftists who actively deny and abet the Islamist plan even deserve to call themselves Jews?
Tennessee has a law against bullying in schools because we believe that bullying is bad. So every school district in Tennessee has policies committed to eradicating bullies.
But we tolerate Islamist bullying. These bullies use name-calling like “bigot” or “Islamophobe” whenever anyone raises questions about matters like Muslim Brotherhood networks, Muslim Brotherhood plan, or questions the “Muslim as oppressed victim” narrative.
We also tolerate the way in which mainstream media abets Islamist bullying.
On January 15th the Tennessean newspaper published Paul “Iesa” Galloway’s response to the Paris jihadi murders. Galloway is the new executive director of the American Center for Outreach (ACO) which he says represents the political voice of Muslims in Tennessee.
Galloway’s resume includes running his own public relations firm. He claims an expertise in “rebranding,” aka, professional spin doctor. He founded CAIR-Houston and operated it for four years. He served on Mohamed Elibiary’s Freedom and Justice Foundation board alongside arch Islamist Abdulhakim Mohammed, former imam at the Islamic Center of Nashville (ICN), who was a mentor to Memphis jihadi Carlos Bledsoe.
Galloway’s predecessor at ACO, Remziya Suleyman also used the “Muslim as victim” narrative and Islamophobia as her rallying cry. AMAC (American Muslim Advisory Council) founder and former chair, Daoud Abudiab will try to revive the Islamophobia tactic with his spring 2015 Islamophobia Conference.
“Islamophobia” is name-calling designed to suppress any criticism of Islam and Muslims. It was invented specifically for this purpose by a Muslim Brotherhood front organization, the International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT). The IIIT was part of a 5 year terrorism financing investigation for being the largest monetary donor to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group and because it has other questionable ties to terrorist groups.
Being a Muslim Brotherhood insider by virtue of his CAIR leadership, Galloway knows the Islamophobia tactic is losing its impact because subsequent to each jihadi attack, the public is less convinced that Muslims are the real victims. The Associated Press eliminated the term “Islamophobia” from its stylebook which is the media “bible” to guide accuracy in reporting. Remember this the next time you pick up a newspaper or read a report.
The Associated Press has also redefined “Islamist” as:
“An advocate or supporter of a political movement that favors reordering government and society in accordance with laws prescribed by Islam. Do not use as a synonym for Islamic fighters, militants, extremists or radicals, who may or may not be Islamists.”
This new definition is supported by CAIR. Why? Because it fits precisely to the short and long-term goals of the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan for the West as written in their 1991 Explanatory Memorandum.
Do You Think Islamists in Tennessee Are Credible?
Galloway is keeping the “Muslim as victim” narrative but emphasizing the “American Muslim” characterization to try and differentiate U.S. Islamists from the rest of the ummah. Suleyman tried that also. However, she wasn’t able to explain how Islamists here are different than the ones in France and England who say they want more, not less sharia in their lives.
Neither Suleyman nor Galloway can explain why Islamists say they want sharia no-go zones like the ones in France. A 2012 poll of U.S. Muslims showed that 40% want to be judged by sharia law over U.S. laws.
And Galloway says he is “frustrated” that Islamist leaders who disavow any and all acts of terrorism isn’t the final word on this issue? And why is this even relevant? After, actions speak louder than words.
Uber liberal Bill Maher doesn’t find Islamists credible either. Nor does he accept liberals who abet Islamist bullying. Islamists like Galloway and CAIR have Muslim Brotherhood DNA and aren’t credible either when challenged about their work to impose sharia law in the U.S.
In Tennessee, Galloway is faced with the same problem Suleyman encountered; they can’t support their political spin with facts because:
- imams being imported to Tennessee to preach at the mosques and minister to Tennessee’s Muslims, have been Islamically educated either in Saudi Arabia or at Al Ahzar University in Egypt. Al Azhar, credited with starting the Islamist movement, is closely tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and stands for the propagation of Islam and sharia law for all the world.
- Muslim advisory councils like Tennessee’s AMAC were conceived with the help and support of Muslim Brotherhood organizations like the IIIT, CAIR and the Muslim American Society (MAS) and have the same goals.
- AMAC founder and Board member and former ACO Civic Engagement Coordinator, Drost Kokoye, routinely demonstrates (here and here), the same anti-Semitic Jew hatred which fuels the Muslim Brotherhood’s Hamas. CAIR’s executive director Nihad Awad, a regular visitor to the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro, has publicly stated his support for Hamas; no surprise since CAIR was started by leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine, which included Nihad Awad.
- Drost complains publicly about being labeled an American and then her co-worker Suleyman complains about being considered an “other”
- the Muslim Brotherhood front organization the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) says it supports gay rights and then Tennessee Islamist activists Drost and Suleyman publicly mock gay marriage:
- AMAC founder and board member Sabina Mohyuddin praises Muslim Brotherhood organizations for helping American Muslims “stay true to their religious values while being uniquely American.”
- Islamist leaders like Galloway and Daoud Abudiab work to co-opt interfaith dialogue while students at the private Islamic school in Knoxville, Annoor Academy, use a textbook that reinforces negative stereotypes and misinformation about Christians and Jews.
- Imams in Tennessee mosques bring in CAIR and Muslim Brotherhood Islamist speakers like Jamal Badawi and Siraj Wahhaj, who preaches that the U.S. should and will become an Islamic state because “Islam is better than democracy” and refuses to condemn Osama bin Laden for 9/11. And speakers like Zaid Shakir who tells the young Islamists that under sharia law “the kafir [non-Muslims] won’t be equal with the Muslim. The Christian or the Jew will be a dhimmi. They won’t be equal with the Muslim.”
- the European Court of Human Rights held as sharia law that: “a sharia-based regime was incompatible with the fundamental principles of democracy as set forth in the Convention [on human rights]… particularly with regard to its criminal law and criminal procedure, its rules on the legal status of women and the way it intervened in all spheres of private and public life in accordance with religious precepts.”
Tennessee Islamists Galloway, Suleyman, and AMAC representatives claim that the way to counter what they believe is hate speech against Islam and Muslims, is more speech. But when they don’t like what they hear or when their propaganda is exposed, they revert to bullying.
Whether its “American Muslims” or “Muslim Americans” doing the bullying, they still can’t put lipstick on the Islamophobia pig.
Opponents play games. Enemies, like Hamas, want to kill Jews.
Nashville’s Reform Rabbis Mark Schiftan, Shana Mackler, Phillip “Flip” Rice, Laurie Rice, Rami Shapiro and Imam Bahloul (Islamic Center of Murfreesboro), have issued the following statement:
Hiding in their cushy offices, these rabbis use lofty words to trivialize Hamas’ vow to wipe Israel and Jews off the map. Do they want us to believe that Jews being attacked “over there” is a “Middle East conflict” unrelated to Jews who live here? These rabbis pontificate from the safety of their temples unlike Jews in kibbutz Nahal Oz where Hamas jihadists emerged from a tunnel and killed the Israeli soldiers that had been guarding them.
The rabbis say this conflict shouldn’t alienate Jews from their Muslim friends that support Hamas and their Christian friends that advocate for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel.
They say Jews should not cast a negative eye toward groups like Jewish Voice for Peace, ranked by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) among the top 10 “worst of the worst anti-Israel groups. After all, fellow Jews that demonize Israel’s self-defense, advocate BDS and freely lend their Jewish cover to legitimate Israel’s aggressors shouldn’t be “dehumanized” just because they have a different opinion about the future of Israel.
If the end goal is to destroy the Jewish homeland and kill all the Jews, what difference does it make whether you are an enemy or an opponent? For these rabbis it’s all about moral equivalence anyway because we are all the same, aren’t we?
The Rabbis’ Friends Who Support Hamas
None of the Tennessee imams or so-called “moderate” Muslims whose attentions the rabbis crave, have ever spoken publicly against the terrorist Hamas organization, not even when Hamas broke their word and violated agreed upon cease-fires with Israel. But, co-signer, Imam Bahloul has welcomed the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR-Hamas into his mosque.
CAIR Director, Nihad Awad and senior Muslim Brotherhood leader Jamal Badawi have been featured visitors at Imam Bahloul’s Islamic Center of Murfreesboro. CAIR and Badawi were named unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing prosecution, “ample evidence” tying CAIR to Hamas.
Hamas runs CAIR.
On July 31, 2014, at a rally for Palestinian terror bomber Rasmea Odeh, CAIR- Michigan director Dawud Walid declared CAIR’s role as being “defenders of the Palestinian struggle.” Walid’s declaration was more proof that CAIR is a Hamas affiliate.
Last summer, Muslim activist Remziya Suleyman, director of the American Center for Outreach (ACO) brought Dawud Walid to Nashville to teach Muslim high school students about U.S. politics. It seems that Suleyman, an active collaborator and promoter of CAIR-Hamas, agrees with their Jew-hating stance. She also surrounds herself with other ant-Israel Jew haters.
Drost Kokoye, Suleyman’s childhood friend and employee at ACO, is a robust anti-Semitic Jew hater. Drost used her reporter friend Skye Arnold to complain about a pro-Israel educational pamphlet, and more recently, to help organize and lead pro-Hamas rallies in Nashville.
These are the facts, the truth. Why do these rabbis deny it? How do you compromise or reason with people who want to kill you?
If, as the rabbis say, these Jew-haters are only opponents, what more would they have to do to be considered an enemy?
While the Red-Green Alliance is interfaithing, they are also harboring and legitimatizing individuals and organizations, that are involved with anti-Israel advocacy. The progressive tent, it seems, is considered big enough for everyone even if they are Jew-haters. Progressive interfaithing can ignore these differences because “honest dialogue” only focuses on commonalities while ignoring vast differences of ideology unknown to the ignorant participants.
Nashville Family of Abraham
Nashville’s 2011 Family of Abraham (FOA) inaugural event was hosted by Nashville’s far left and expensive private school University School of Nashville. Mayor Karl Dean welcomed attendees, followed by Rev. Sonnye Dixon, Fr. Joe Breen, Islamic Center of Murfreesboro Imam Bahloul and Mark Pelavin from the Jewish Reform Action Center.
Pelavin’s organization established its relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood as early as 2007 when the President of the Union of Reform Judaism, spoke at ISNA’s annual conference which also included BDS supporters Safaa Zarzour and Sayyid Syeed among others.
The next FOA followed quickly at a gathering hosted by West End United Methodist Church (UMC). As discussed in Part 2, the UMC maintains a very close relationship with ISNA (Islamic Society of North America), the largest Muslim Brotherhood organization in the U.S.
The UMC speaker was Sayyid Sayeed, founding board member and former Secretary General of ISNA, who now serves as its interfaith liaison. UMC shares ISNA’s support for BDS against Israel. Shortly after approving an anti-Israel divestment resolution, “Steadfast Support of Christians in the Holy Land”, the Northern Illinois Conference of Methodism received ISNA’s Interfaith Unity Award.
Why didn’t the Northern Conference resolution address instead the recent Pew Study findings of Christian oppression in the Muslim majority countries of Somalia, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Pakistan, Iran and Yemen?
ISNA’s Jew Hatred and Anti-Israel BDS
A look at ISNA’s website, leadership, annual convention speakers and partners shows why ISNA supports the BDS goal of destroying Israel as the Jewish homeland.
ISNA was founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood’s first U.S. organization, the Muslim Students Association (MSA). Many of ISNA’s leaders were active in their respective college MSAs and other Muslim Brotherhood allied organizations listed in the 1991 Muslim Brotherhood Strategic Plan for North America (1991 MB memo).
In 2004, when Sayeed was the Secretary General of ISNA, he stated in repeated interviews that ISNA received no funding from Saudi Arabia. He denied this even after 2003 expert testimony during a U.S. Senate Judiciary subcommittee documented that Saudi Arabia was ISNA’s largest source of funding.
Saudi funding also enabled the establishment of ISNA’s subsidiary NAIT (North American Islamic Trust), which “is reported to own between 50 and 79 percent of the mosques on the North American continent. NAIT mosques rank among the most radical in the United States.” Islamic convert Stephen Schwartz, describes ISNA as “one of the chief conduits through which the radical Saudi form of Islam passes into the United States.”
ISNA, NAIT and Tennessee Mosques
In Memphis, Tennessee, the deeds forMasjid As-Salam mosque, home of the Muslim Society of Memphis, and the Al-Noor Mosque, which also houses the MSA in Memphis, show NAIT as the owner. Deeds to at least 10 other properties including some adjacent to the Muslim Society of Memphis also identify NAIT as the owner.
ISNA shares a street address with the MSA of Memphis and the Islamic Association of Greater Memphis. ISNA is also listed as the owner of the Islamic Center of Nashville (ICN), a mosque that openly promoted the Holy Land Foundation as far back as 1998.
In February 2010, the Islamic Center of Nashville ICN) and the Salahadeen Center, the Kurdish mosque, partnered with ISNA for a two day conference titled “Awakening the Leader Within.” Members of the Salahadeen Center include former Muslim American Society (also Muslim Brotherhood), leader Fadi Ezier, CAIR promoter Remziya Suleyman and BDS advocate Drost Kokoye.
Examples of ISNA Leadership, Conventions, Website and Partner Organizations
ISNA supports Hamas, the armed branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is dedicated to the destruction of Israel. Hamas is a U.S. designated terrorist organization. The Hamas charter, calling out the “Zionist invasion” states:
“For our struggle against the Jews is extremely wide-ranging and grave, so much so that it will need all the loyal efforts we can wield, to be followed by further steps and reinforced by successive battalions from the multifarious Arab and Islamic world, until the enemies are defeated and Allah’s victory prevails.”….
“The prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: The time will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!”
ISNA, NAIT and CAIR were named as unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) terrorism financing prosecution because of their involvement in raising money for Hamas. In 2009 their unindicted co-conspirator status was reaffirmed and the judge held that “the government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA, NAIT with the Holy Land Foundation, the Islamic Association for Palestine, and with Hamas.”
Muzammil Siddiqi – served as the president of ISNA (1997-2000),and is now a Board member of ISNA and its subsidiary NAIT. Siddiqi is a pro-jihad, pro-Sharia, anti-American, hard core Islamist. He served as an officer at the Muslim World League (MWL), founded by members of the Saudi government to globalize fundamentalist Islamic sharia law.
Siddiqi advocated for the establishment of an Islamic state, told Muslims living in the U.S. that Islamic sharia law was superior to U.S. laws, and praised Islamic suicide bombers as “those who die on the part of justice” and thus reside “with the Lord.” He believes in “the victory of Islam in Palestine” by means of jihad, which he describes as “the path” and “the way [for Muslims] to receive the honor.”
Since 1981 he has served as director of the Islamic Society of Orange County and now serves as the Chairman of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California. The Shura Council includes a heavy dose of Muslim Brotherhood presence. The November 20, 2012 newsletter praised student BDS initiatives:
“Shura Council applauds the Associated Students of UCI [University of California, Irvine], for unanimously passing a resolution calling for UCI to divest from companies who benefit from occupied Palestine. Click here to learn more about UCI divestment and learn what is B D S here.”
Jamal Badawi – The Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing prosecution named Badawi individually as an unindicted co-conspirator. He was a founding member of the Muslim American Society, established as the representative organization of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood. The 2004 Chicago Tribune reportconfirmed the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood over U.S. mosques.
Badawi’s recorded statements characterize Gaza terrorists as martyrs and suicide bombers as freedom fighters, and defending violent jihad in cases of “self-defense against unprovoked aggression . . . “
More recently, Badawi spoke at the 2012 AMP (American Muslims for Palestine) conference. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), describes AMP as “anti-Semitism under the guise of educating Americans about the just cause of Palestine and the rights of self-determination.”
AMP is a national extremist anti-Israel organization that helps train and support the college hate group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP). SJP’s 2002 national convention was sponsored by the Islamic Association for Palestine (started by a Hamas leader), with guest speaker Sami al-Arian who was convicted for his activities with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a U.S. designated terrorist organization.
Joining Badawi were BDS advocates like Friends of Sabeel North American, Donald Wagner (see Part 2) , virulent anti-Semitic Jew haters like Hatem Bazian and openly vocal Hamas supporters like CAIR director Nihad Awad.
ISNA Conventions: Representatives and Speakers
ISNA’s conventions have included representatives from:
- Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC and now renamed to Organization of Islamic Cooperation) The OIC which works cooperatively with the Muslim Brotherhood, represents the 56 Muslim majority countries and is also the largest voting bloc in the United Nations. For years, the OIC pushed the UN to criminalize any criticism of Islam which was accomplished in 2012 with the passage of Resolution 16/18.
- Muslim World League (MWL)- founded in 1962 by members of the Saudi government for the purpose of globalizing fundamentalist Islamic sharia law (Wahhabism). “The MWL has a long history of ties to, and financial support for, Islamic extremists, terrorist operatives, and terrorist organizations including Hamas…and al Qaeda.” MWL has a history of virulent anti-Israel rhetoric and is a member of the OIC.
- WAMY – World Assembly of Muslim Youth – based in Saudi Arabia, it is the world’s largest Muslim youth organization. The U.S. branch, established by Osama bin Laden’s nephew, was raided by the FBI and shut down because of suspected links to terrorism funding. The U.S. WAMY has also provided funding to CAIR.
ISNA’s convention speakers have included:
Anwar al Awlaki – al-Qaeda cleric killed in Obama authorized 2011 drone attack.
Ali Abunimah -co-founder and executive director of Electronic Infitada, a major online media outlet promoting the Palestinian agenda along with BDS against Israel. He is also a founding member of Al Awda, the Palestinian Right of Return Coalition that opposes Israel’s right to exist.
Maha ElGenaidi – founder of Islamic Networks Group (ING) which trains and certifies speakers to present canned scripts about Islamic-related topics; helps to establish “affiliates” in different cities including Tennessee’s based AMAC. Acknowledged partnerships with Muslim Brotherhood’s ISNA, CAIR, ICNA, and MAS.
Paul Findley – author of “Liberating America From Israel” (“Nine-eleven would not have occurred if the U.S. government had refused to help Israel humiliate and destroy Palestinian society”)
Imam Warith Deen – former head of New York prisons’ Muslim chaplain program who described Jewish conspiracies to control the world.
ISNA Website Posts Quaranic Verses About Jews
Here is a now deleted (but screen shot saved) Quaranic passages posted on ISNA’s website:
“O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors; They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.”
Staying true to their doctrine and mission, the Islamic Center of Tennessee has alerted their members to attend “this important Dawa and interfaith visit.
Dawa has one and only one meaning and objective – invite non-Muslims to Islam.
Dawa is the aggressive, religiously obligatory proselytizing of Islam which Islamist organizations say should also be conducted in U.S. public schools.
Second generation Islamists like Remziya Suleyman claim that advancing their religion in the U.S. is a matter of politics; the perfect example of political shariah.
Students at Islamic schools like the Anoor Academy in Knoxville are taught, (along with lies about Christians and Jews), about Dawa from the textbook What Islam Is All About:
- pg. 51 – “Da’wah, (Calling others to Islam)
- pg. 162 – “In Islamic teachings there are three activities a Muslim must do to affec the society around them…The three duties are Da’wah, Jihad and Encouraging the good while forbidding the evil.
What is Da’wah? ‘Call people to the path of your Lord with wisdom and inspiring speech. Reason with them in a superior and respectful manner. Certainly, your Lord knows best who strays from His path and who is guided.
- pg. 163 – “..we must also share [Islam] knowledge with others. If we don’t, then on the Day of Judgment they may stand there and accuse us of forgetting them and not telling them the one thing that would have saved them from Hell-fire.”
And, we wonder if Rabbi Schiftan knows that 5 times a day, Muslims implore their god Allah not to let them be like “those [the Jews] who earned Allah’s anger.”.
“I condemn … any act of terrorism”
Apologists like supporters of Family of Abraham, Nashville Rabbi Schiftan, and the Jewish Observer editorial board chair are typically unwilling to examine Islamic doctrine in statements of Imam Bahloul’s condemnation of terrorism. Despite Dr. Boehm’s invitation in the Observer to receive comments and reactions that might “help deepen dialogue,” we at TCPJ doubt their commitment to critical thinking in this regard.
Imam Bahloul says that that he condemns terrorism. Does he condemn the torture of the Jewish chief at Khaybar by Mohammed? Does he condemn Mohammed’s execution of 800 male Jews of Medina in one day? Does Bahloul condemn the rape of captives by Mohammed’s troops?
It is unlikely that he will condemn these acts because they were not terror, they were “fighting in Allah’s cause” aka, jihad.
A summary of Mohammed’s career is that he preached the religion of Islam for 13 years in Mecca and converted 150 Arabs. When he moved to Medina, he became a politician and jihadists. He averaged an event of violent jihad on the average of every 6 weeks for the last 9 years of his life and when he died, every Arab was a Muslim. Islam always has a peaceful religious message and war message. Imam Bahloul has a degree in Da’awah (proselytizing for Islam) from Al-Ahzar University in Cairo, the foremost university teaching Islamic law, and well understands that Islam is dualistic and allows for these kinds of contradiction.
He misleads his reader regarding his reference to the Quran verse about killing one innocent person being as though you killed humanity. The actual verse, 5:32, says that this commandment was given to the Jews. The very next verse, 5:33, directs the Muslims to wage jihad.
Based on Dr. Boehm’s comments it doesn’t look like the Observer is interested in facts that might upend the fantasy they have constructed. It is unlikely they would ever print this information, but please feel free to get them to try.
P.S. TCPJ knows that it has a biblical responsibility to bless Israel. You can awaken a man who is sleeping but you cannot awaken a man who is just pretending to sleep. We will continue to write about and expose what is happening in Tennessee in the hopes that we are fulfilling our duties and may eventually awaken the sleepers.
This past September, Hamas-linked-CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) hosted self-styled “human rights activists” to speak at the University of Arizona. Gay-mocking Remziya Suleyman from Tennessee and Hizballah-legitimizing Hassan Shibly (CAIR-Tampa) were among the speakers:
Ms. Suleyman told her same old embellished story of how she organized all the Muslims in Tennessee to beat back alleged anti-sharia legislation. Bet she didn’t bother to tell her audience that it was actually an anti-terrorism/material support bill based on the killings perpetrated by Muslim convert Carlos Bledsoe.
Bet she also didn’t bother to explain to her audience that she is the one who equated anti-terrorism and material support with being sharia!
Bet she also didn’t tell her audience that before she started her pro-sharia campaign she admitted that “she never knew the concept of sharia…” In fact, she continues to remind us how little she knows about her own doctrine as she continues to promote the idea that anything violent or negative associated with Muslims and Islam is simply “culture” because it is not taught in the Quran. So how about those verses in the Quran that make wife beating sacred?
She could have gotten the low-down on this from Murfreesboro mosque Muslim Brotherhood speaker, Jamal Badawi who says it’s OK as long as it’s never on the face.
Surely Suleyman knows that Muslims could not practice their Islam without the Hadith and Sira. After all, isn’t Mohammed the example that all Muslims are supposed to emulate? Does she ignore the Hadith because that’s where it tells her that women have to sit in the back of the mosque?
Is that like being forced to sit at the back of the bus?
CAIR Arizona conference...
Hassan Shibly said, that “Muslims have more civil liberties in America than they do in any ‘so-called Muslim countries.’”
Is that because Muslims living in America don’t actually know their doctrine? Or could it be because countries like Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Iran have constitutions norm-referenced to sharia law? Maybe Shibly was thinking about the shara-centric Cairo Declaration of Human Rights and not the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that the U.S. signed onto.
Or is Shibly simply being disingenuous about his doctrine in pursuit of the political objectives he and his organization CAIR are pursuing?
Then why are these Islamic sharia-adherent “civil rights activists” trying to impose the same sharia driven oppression that the “so-called Muslim countries” suffer under? They say that their fight for Muslim’s religious freedom is no different than when blacks fought for their civil rights. One big difference though is that the rights Suleyman and Shibly claim they are fighting for will ultimately take away rights from everyone else.
Imam Zaid Shakir, an adviser and regular speaker at CAIR events is also a repeat visitor to Nashville. Last year, Imam Mohamed Ahmed from the Muslim Brotherhood owned Islamic Center of Nashville invited Shakir to speak to the students.
One point Shakir reminds his listeners about is that under Islamic law “the kafir won’t be equal with the Muslim. The Christian or the Jew will be a dhimmi. They won’t be equal with the Muslim.” He was quoted in the New York Times as saying that “he still hoped that one day the United States would be a Muslim country ruled by Islamic law.”
Religious freedom in the U.S. is based on the freedom to believe or not to believe, to practice one’s religion or not. And to peacefully coexist. Memphis Imam Yasir Qadhi who helped Suleyman launch her organization calls Christians filthy.
Suleyman should also go back and listen to her colleague Sabina Mohyuddin refer to the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA) as one of the “…organizations that help American Muslims stay true to their religious values while being uniquely American.” Along with Al-Ahazar University, FCNA was one of the organizations that authenticated the English translation of the “Reliance of the Traveller, The Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law.”
Newsletter #86 provides several examples found in this book and also details some of the FCNA members that have been arrested, deported and named as unindicted co-conspirators in connection with terrorist activities. All are connected in some manner to the Muslim Brotherhood.
The “religious freedom” being pedaled by CAIR promoters Suleyman and Shibly goes something like this:
Kosher for Jews means they don’t eat pork; halal for us means no one eats pork.
Real civil rights activists should be appalled.
