Newsletter #169 – How Muslim Brotherhood Operates in Tennessee (part 7 of 8)

The Muslim Brotherhood was founded for the purpose of rejecting Western civilization and replacing it with global sharia law by restoring the Caliphate.

Tennessee’s Islamists select imams and speakers to reinforce this objective and influence younger Muslims.

Imams educated at Al Ahzar University in Egypt

Al Ahzar University is credited with starting the Islamist movement by training Islamic radicals tied to Muslim Brotherhood and stands for the propagation of Islam and sharia as a complete way of life. Considered the preeminent teaching center of sharia law Al Ahzar authenticated the English translation of “The Reliance of the Traveller, The Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law.”

Excerpts from “Reliance of the Traveller” include:

  • “the Objectives of Jihad” 8 – … wars against Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians if they don’t accept the invitation to Islam or they can pay the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya)
  • “Giving Zakat to Deserving Recipients” 17 (zakat is Islamic charity)- those fighting for Allah [ie, “volunteers for jihad”]
  • “Dealing with a rebellious wife” 12(4)(c) – a husband may hit his wife…
  • Mohammed Ahmed, former imam at the Islamic Center of Nashville (ICN). Ahmed told attendees at the June 2011 meeting of the Religion Communicators Councilthat he supported the Egyptian police forced virginity tests performed on female protesters in Tahrir Square.  The imam explained:  “Why? It’s a very interesting fact that the police giving you a heads up, ‘oh, those people are not virgin’.  That’s mean they are not good people”
  • Osama Bahloul, imam at the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro (ICM). He has a degree in Dawa (prosletyzing for Islam; his thesis was the establishment of a Dawa curriculum aimed at secularists, atheists, Christians, Jews, and Muslims.) The ICM hosted the Muslim Brotherhood unindicted co-conspirators CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad and Jamal Badawi.

Imams educated at University of Medinah, Saudi Arabia

University of Medinah in Saudi Arabia is associated with the fundamentalist Salafi branch of Sunni Islam. Salafists want to practice Islam in its most original, purest and “authentic” form without relying on cultural practices or clerical interpretations.

  • AbdulRahman ibn Esa Chao, imam at the Islamic Center of Tennessee. Reported to have graduated from the University of Medinah at age 21, the youngest graduate of record. He also studied at the IIASA (Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America), located in Virginia, funded by Saudi Arabia. The Foundation for Defense of Democracies says, “[IIASA] is the largest source of Saudi hate literature in the Washington area.
  • Abdulhakim Mohammed, imam at the ICN from 1999-2007 during which time he helped them set up the private Islamic school the Nashville International Academy. Born in Yemen he spent much of his early childhood in Detroit, Michigan. He spent approximately eight years at the University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia, then returned to Yemen to work managing Islamic schools and other educational programs. Prior to the ICN, he was the imam at the Islamic Center in Ann Arbor and then at the radical Brooklyn Al Farooq mosque, aka, the “al-Qaeda mosque.” This is also the mosque attended by the “blind sheik” who was convicted in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
  • Yasir Qadhi, resident scholar at the Memphis Islamic Center and Dean of Academic Affairs, al Maghrib Institute. His media company used to sell recordings by al-Qaeda terrorist Anwar Awalaki. al Maghrib students include the Christmas Day bomber and convicted terrorist Daniel Maldonado. Qadhi is an International speaker and Holocaust denier, who says “we are loyal to our countries insofar as it does not interfere with our religion of Islam.” embed videos

Qadhi calls Christians and Jews spiritually “filthy.”

  • Rafiq Mahdi, (formerly known as William Henderson), is a black American convert to Islam who after leaving the Nation of Islam trained in Saudi Arabia. He is considered the “unofficial imam of Knoxville” where he helped establish the Annoor Mosque. Prior to Knoxville, he led the Masjid Al-Iman in Florida, described as a “small fundamentalist mosque” which was the spiritual home of the “dirty bomber” Jose Padilla. Padilla had ties to al Qaeda and was convicted of planning a jihad attack in 2002.

Mahdi helped fundraise for the KindHearts Foundation which was shut down under suspicion of raising money for Hamas.

Imams trained at other Saudi institutions

  • Abdullah Al Ansar, first imam at the Islamic Center of Tennessee. Graduate of the Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Has over 14 years of experience in dawa. Prior to ICTN he was the imam at Detroit’s Masjid Al Tawheed whose website (prior to scrubbing) published links to jihadi lectures in the UK. Al Ansari preached the following:

“He [Allah] told us to fight the Jews and Christians. Fight them until they give jizya.  They give this protective tax from their hands and they are humiliated and subdued.” (embed video)

  • Abdelrahman Murphy, former faculty member at Knoxville private Islamic School Annoor Academy, Youth Leader for Roots program and mentor to MSA at UT Knoxville. He completed the Imam Certificate Program in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Currently, Murphy runs the youth program at the Islamic Center of Boston, encouraging the young people to “be like Mohammed.”

Examples of speakers brought to Tennessee

  • Sayyid Syeed – ISNA (Islamic Society of North America), National Director for Office of Interfaith & Community Alliances. He has also served on CAIR’s Advisory Board, president of MSA of U.S. & Canada, and director of outreach for IIIT, among other positions.

In 2006, he was videotaped saying, “Our job is to change the constitution of America.”

  • Jamal Badawi – referred to by name on page 12 of the Muslim Brotherhood plan that was introduced during the Holy Land Foundation prosecution and named in the Muslim Brotherhood directory. As a result of the trial, he was named individually as an unindicted co-conspirator.Badawi was an invited speaker at the ICM.
  • Nihad Awad – founding member and Executive Director of CAIR. He publicly announced his support for HAMAS whose charter calls for killing Jews. He visited multiple times at the ICM.
  • Dawud Walid – director of CAIR-Michigan brought by Remziya Suleyman, ACO director in 2013 to train Muslim high school students in political activism. He has been with CAIR since 2005 so he was there when CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial in 2007. He downplays the significance of the terrorist jihadis al-Shabaab and tells young audiences that Muslims are being targeted by the FBI. embed video)
  • Siraj Wahhaj – preaches that “Islam is better than democracy. Allah will cause his deen [Islam as a complete way of life], Islam to prevail over every kind of system, and you know what? It will happen.”  He said, “If only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate.” He has served on the boards of several named Muslim Brotherhood organizations. He refuses to blame Osama bin Laden for 9-11.
  • Zaid Shakir – he tells his audiences that he hopes “to see the “day in which America is a Muslim country ruled by Islamic law” and that if Islam rules, “[t]he Christian or the Jew will be a dhimmi [second-class citizen].  They won’t be equal with the Muslim.”

  • Shaykh Waleed Basyouni – V.P. of Yasir Qadhi’s al-Maghrib Institute. Basyouni trained in Saudi Arabia and was a student of the late Wahhabi grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, who had forbidden women to drive. Basyouni spoke and wrote about his admiration for Ibn Jibreen, an admirer of Osama bin Laden. Basyouni is considered “one of the most important leaders of the da’wah (Islamic proselytizing) in the West.” He says that “Muslims are ‘the only people who know God’ and, as such, are uniquely righteous and clearly distinguishable from nonbelievers.

Newsletter #148 – “2014 Reviving Ramadan”-Better Living Through the Muslim Brotherhood

Remziya Suleyman, Director of the Muslim American Center for Outreach (ACO) along with her colleagues Suhaib Webb and Abdelrahman Murphy, schooled the young Muslims during the 2013 “In the Footsteps of the Prophet” retreat and again this year.

Suleyman told the younger Muslims attending the recent Reviving Ramadan retreat that:

“You carry the legacy of the greatest man that ever graced this earth. This ummah (global Muslim community) depends on what you, the next generation, does. Remember that.”

Why “Reviving Ramadan?”

Observing Ramadan is one of Islam’s five pillars. The youth retreats are organized and offered by the Knoxville Muslim Community. Read more about them here and here.

Just like Hassan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Suleyman, Webb and Murphy are working to keep Muslim youth tethered to Islam, its ideology, and a sharia adherent lifestyle. Because Islam is a “complete way of life,” it includes the pro-CAIR-Hamas type of political activism that these three advocate to their student audiences.

Hassan al-Banna founded the Muslim Brotherhood as a religious, social and political movement intended to revive the Islamic Caliphate and rule it according to sharia law. As stated in the Brotherhood’s by-laws:

“Insist to liberate the Islamic nation from the yoke of foreign rule… the need to work on establishing the Islamic State…the sincere support for a global cooperation in accordance with the provisions of the Islamic Sharia.”

The Muslim Brotherhood was banned in Egypt, its country of origin. After the 2013 overthrow of Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Morsi, the new Egyptian government designated the Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

Al-Banna, said, “it is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its laws on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.” Co-founder of CAIR, Omar Ahmed said, “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”

CAIR is tied to Hamas and Hamas is the jihadi arm of the Muslim Brotherhood as was proven in the Holy Land Foundation prosecution.

Suleyman, Webb and Murphy: CAIR disciples

Do they tell the kids about their work with CAIR? Do they tell them who and what CAIR really is and what it is organized to do? Or do they offer the same propaganda that the public hears about CAIR being an organization that stands up for the civil rights of Muslims in the U.S.?

ACO Director Remziya Suleyman speaks at CAIR events and attends CAIR’s annual conventions. She consults and collaborates with CAIR’s national leadership. She recently signed onto CAIR’s letter to Obama demanding further purging of law enforcement training materials. She brought anti-Semite CAIR-Michigan Director Dawud Walid to Nashville to train Muslim high school students in political activism.

Dawud Walid speaks about the FBI with disdain and somewhat casually about the al-Qaeda affiliate group, al-Shabaab. Recently, the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia issued a warning of an anticipated attack by al-Shabaab directed to areas “where large numbers of U.S. and Western citizens congregate.”

In Knoxville, Suleyman closely collaborates with Imam Abdulrahman Murphy who worked as an intern for CAIR -Chicago. He later spent time training in Saudi Arabia, a country that strictly follows sharia law. Murphy is faculty at the Annoor Academy Islamic school in Knoxville that teaches its students negative stereotypes about Christians and Jews. Murphy also works with the UT Knoxville Muslim Students Association (MSA). The MSA was the Muslim Brotherhood’s first established U.S. organization.

Murphy was a speaker at ISNA’s 2013 conference in Dallas. ISNA (Islamic Society of North America), is also a Muslim Brotherhood organization.

In addition to the MSA, Murphy and Suhaib Webb indoctrinate Muslim youth through the Knoxville Roots program. Murphy and Webb also teach at the Ella Collins Institute at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC).

Webb, a convert to Islam, was sent by the Muslim American Society (another Muslim Brotherhood organization), to Al-Azhar University in Cairo to complete his Islamic training. He was then hired as the Imam for the Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC) in Roxbury, a mosque managed by MAS-Boston.  This mosque is the sister campus of the Islamic Society of Boston (ISB) mosque attended by the Boston marathon bombers.

It turns out Webb’s associations included al-Qaeda operative Anwar al-Awlaki, and the mosque attended by the Oklahoma Islamist who beheaded his co-worker. Webb is also vocal about his Jew-hatred, anti-Israel pro-BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) support.

******************

Guilt by association? Suleyman, Murphy and Webb freely seek each other out and collaborate in their advocacy. Their voluntary association suggests something more like a fully informed joint venture.

Suleyman, Murphy and Webb are recognized in their communities as Islamist leaders. In the case of all three, there is no question that their actions and their words carry the Muslim Brotherhood agenda forward.

Newsletter #140 – Do They Think Hamas Is Playing a Game?

Opponents play games. Enemies, like Hamas, want to kill Jews.

Nashville’s Reform Rabbis Mark Schiftan, Shana Mackler, Phillip “Flip” Rice, Laurie Rice, Rami Shapiro and Imam Bahloul (Islamic Center of Murfreesboro), have issued the following statement:

statement

Hiding in their cushy offices, these rabbis use lofty words to trivialize Hamas’ vow to wipe Israel and Jews off the map. Do they want us to believe that Jews being attacked “over there” is a “Middle East conflict” unrelated to Jews who live here? These rabbis pontificate from the safety of their temples unlike Jews in kibbutz Nahal Oz where Hamas jihadists emerged from a tunnel and killed the Israeli soldiers that had been guarding them.

The rabbis say this conflict shouldn’t alienate Jews from their Muslim friends that support Hamas and their Christian friends that advocate for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel.

They say Jews should not cast a negative eye toward groups like Jewish Voice for Peace, ranked by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) among the top 10 “worst of the worst anti-Israel groups. After all, fellow Jews that demonize Israel’s self-defense, advocate BDS and freely lend their Jewish cover to legitimate Israel’s aggressors shouldn’t be “dehumanized” just because they have a different opinion about the future of Israel.

If the end goal is to destroy the Jewish homeland and kill all the Jews, what difference does it make whether you are an enemy or an opponent? For these rabbis it’s all about moral equivalence anyway because we are all the same, aren’t we?

The Rabbis’ Friends Who Support Hamas

None of the Tennessee imams or so-called “moderate” Muslims whose attentions the rabbis crave, have ever spoken publicly against the terrorist Hamas organization, not even when Hamas broke their word and violated agreed upon cease-fires with Israel. But, co-signer, Imam Bahloul has welcomed the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR-Hamas into his mosque.

CAIR (started by leaders of IAP – Islamic Association for Palestine), is tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. CAIR’s director Nihad Awad publicly announced his support for Hamas.

grid

CAIR Director, Nihad Awad and senior Muslim Brotherhood leader Jamal Badawi have been featured visitors at Imam Bahloul’s Islamic Center of Murfreesboro. CAIR and Badawi were named unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing prosecution, “ample evidence” tying CAIR to Hamas.

Hamas runs CAIR.

L to R: unknown, unknown, Nihad Awad (CAIR), Saleh Sbenaty, Bahlouo)

L to R: unknown, unknown, Nihad Awad (CAIR), Saleh Sbenaty, Bahlouo)

On July 31, 2014, at a rally for Palestinian terror bomber Rasmea Odeh, CAIR- Michigan director Dawud Walid declared CAIR’s role as being “defenders of the Palestinian struggle.” Walid’s declaration was more proof that CAIR is a Hamas affiliate.

Last summer, Muslim activist Remziya Suleyman, director of the American Center for Outreach (ACO) brought Dawud Walid to Nashville to teach Muslim high school students about U.S. politics. It seems that Suleyman, an active collaborator and promoter of CAIR-Hamas, agrees with their Jew-hating stance. She also surrounds herself with other ant-Israel Jew haters.

Drost Kokoye, Suleyman’s childhood friend and employee at ACO, is a robust anti-Semitic Jew hater. Drost used her reporter friend Skye Arnold to complain about a pro-Israel educational pamphlet, and more recently, to help organize and lead pro-Hamas rallies in Nashville.

These are the facts, the truth. Why do these rabbis deny it? How do you compromise or reason with people who want to kill you?

If, as the rabbis say, these Jew-haters are only opponents, what more would they have to do to be considered an enemy?

Newsletter #119- The Red-Green Alliance and the BDS Campaign Against Israel (part 5 of 5)

Groups interfaithing in Nashville under the Red-Green alliance include but are not limited to: the Muslim American Center for Outreach (ACO), the American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC), the Family of Abraham (FOA), Clergy for Tolerance (CFT), Temple Ohabai Sholom, West End United Methodist Church, Vine Street Church, Christ Church Cathedral, Woodmont Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church, Glendale Baptist Church, University School, and Lipscomb University.

Organizers include Remziya Suleyman, Avi Poster, Irwin Venick, Daoud Abudiab, Bernard Werthan, Mary Shelton, Tom Negri, Rev. Heidi Hudnut-Beumler and Rabbi Laurie Rice, among others listed on their invitations.

Did Family of Abraham organizers Avi Poster, Irwin Venick and Rabbi Rice know about ISNA’s Jew hatred but invited ISNA’s representative anyway? What about ISNA’s support for Hamas and Sayyid Syeed’s complicity?  Why is Jewish Federation Director Mark Freedman silent?  Why does Rabbi Mark Schiftan want such a close relationship with Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR/Hamas supporters?

Could it be that they agree with Secretary of State Kerry that Israel does not have to be recognized as the Jewish homeland? Are they aligned with J Street and therefore have to work with the Islamists and pro-BDSers?

Did Rev. Michael Williams at UMC and event promoter Rev. Kleinert at Vine Street Christian Church bother to google their speaker and his associations? Have any of these people read the Quran? If not, they are politically naïve (Islam is a political ideology as well as a religion), and useful to Islam as dhimmis and apologists who are ignorant of the fact that Allah cautions Muslims to not take Jews and Christians as friends.   Is this Quranic quote compatible with the goals of interfaith dialogue?

Hopefully ignorance is their answer to these questions. Otherwise, it seems that the Family of Abraham wanted to legitimatize what ISNA, its ally the Muslim Brotherhood and Syeed represent.

Respectful but Dishonest Dialogue in Nashville

The August 2013, Family of Abraham meeting at The First Presbyterian Church in Nashville featured Lipscomb University president Randy Lowry. He said that while “be[ing] honest about their differences” interfaithers should “focus on their interests – the things they really care about – rather than the issues that divide them.”  Does he mean differences like wife-beating, polygamy, slavery, jihad against non-Muslims, death for apostasy, theocratic government, much less the story that God saved Ishmael, not Isaac from Abraham’s sacrifice?  Does Lowry mean those differences?

Every person who identifies themselves as a liberal progressive and who suggests that Israel is both the problem and the answer to the problem, ignores the fact that Israel is the sole country in the Middle East with any measure of and commitment to religious diversity and democratic rule. Why it then hasn’t a group like FOA that claims to promote respect for religious diversity and social justice, taken a stand against BDS?

The reality is that Family of Abraham events feature Muslim speakers and others who counsel attendees about how everyone should want to get closer to Muslims in their communities because they are only different branches of the same family tree.  The subtext of the meetings is Muslim victimhood and, by analogy, the same for their Middle Eastern brethren, the Arab Muslim Palestinians.

Progressive interfaithers claim those like ISNA’s Sayyid Sayeed represent “moderate” Muslims even though Sayeed and his organization do not condemn Hamas attacks on innocent civilians.  Interfaithers also claim that Hamas/CAIR is a civil rights group even though its Executive Director Nihad Awad publicly declares his support for Hamas, and CAIR’s state leaders, Dawud Walid and Zahra Billoo, regularly demonize Jews and Israel and advocate for BDS.

Liberal Christian sects like the United Methodist and Presbyterian USA churches that champion BDS while ignoring the persecution of Christians by Muslims, one of the greatest human rights tragedies in the world today, should be working to keep their own houses in order instead of trying to weaken and harm Israel. All these individuals and organizations, whether Muslims, Christians, or Jews, should be publicly and loudly rejected by real peace-seekers and those that respect religious pluralism.

For the liberal Left and Progressives, the BDS campaign is the modern day replacement for the failed Marxist revolution. BDS has made it easy and socially acceptable to hate Jews but not be labeled a Jew hater. All you have to do is parrot the BDS slogans, demonize Israel and pretend to care about social justice for “Palestinians.”

Since there are no facts or truth to back BDS claims, it should be understood for what it really is – plain and simple Jew hatred..

Newsletter #99 – Why Do Gays Tolerate Islamists?

As expected GLADD and its gay politics used Duck Dynasty patriarch’s interview comments to promote the gay agenda and as usual, attack a Christian at the same time.

While they’re at it, the liberal-socialist-progressives demand that hurt feelings and offensive speech should dictate the First Amendment standards in our country.

Funny how when the Muslim Student Association at Vanderbilt hosted speaker and volunteer Muslim chaplain Awadh Binhazim who at a 2010 event confirmed that Islam dictates capital punishment for homosexuality, there was barely a peep from the TN Equality Project (TEP) or any of the Vanderbilt University gay and gay supporting student organizations.  The Vandy gay newspaper went to great lengths to downplay the whole incident.

TEP’s president at that time said that “TEP doesn’t agree with angry activism.”

Is that why TEP and other gay promoting organizations (perhaps the ACLU?), have no reaction to Tennessee’s well-known Muslim activist Remziya Suleyman when she and her friends mock the agenda of gay marriage?

Untitled1

Or how about when Islamist activists simply want to use the gay agenda for their own objectives  despite Islam’s view that homosexuality is a sin and “a crime against Allah.”

Newsletter #95 – Knoxville Islamist School Teaches Its Students Lies

Watch Knoxville Anoor Academy’s 2013 promo video carefully and at minute 1:04 you see a row of textbooks which are Yahiya Emerick’s What Islam Is All About.  As noted in Newsletter #43 this text is being used in any number of Islamic private and weekend schools around the U.S.. According to Emerick, this book was written in standard English to teach Muslim children living in the U.S. about Islam.

Since the textbook is being used at Anoor Academy, what is the likelihood that it is also being used at the Nashville International Academy Islamic School and the Pleasant View School in Memphis?

anoor copy

Below are just a few examples from this textbook and note, nothing is taken out of context.  The book generally reinforces Islam as a supremacist ideology and dovetails well with the anti-Christian/Jewish prayer Al-Fatihah recited by Muslims several times a day.  This is discussed more fully in Newsletter #48.

Cited pages can be found under the “Documents” tab on the blog.

p. 187 – I. Who Follows Ibrahim’s Example?

“So, although the Christians and Jews may make a big noise about following Prophet Ibrahim, in fact, neither of them do.  Prophet Ibrahim fulfilled Allah’s commands, the Jews don’t even follow half of what their corrupted books say.  The Christians don’t follow anything except what their philosophers and priests make up from time to time.”

p. 188 – “Prophet Ibrahim called all people to Allah’s way of life.  The ‘Jews’ don’t call anybody to anything.  They subscribe to a belief in racial superiority calling themselves the ‘chosen’ ones and excluding non-Jews as much as possible.  Their religion even teaches them to call down curses upon the worship places of non-Jews whenever they pass by them!  They arrogantly refer to anyone who is not Jewish as ‘Gentiles,’ equating them with sin.”

“Prophet Ibrahim told people to do good and he forbade the wrong.  Many ‘religious’ and ‘non-religious’ Jews and Christians lead such decadent and immoral lives that lying, alcohol, nudity, pronography, racism, foul language, pre-marital sex, homosexuality and everything else are accepted in their society, churches and synagogues.  Just turn on the television in any Jewish or Christian community and see what’s ‘normal.’”

p.212 – “What was the mission of Bani Isra’il?  To call surrounding nations to the worship of Allah and to be an example to others.  Did they fulfill this responsibility?  Unfortunately, no.”

“In about the year 900 BCE, They started calling themselves, Jews after one of their kingdoms which was called Judah.

Today, the Jews claim to follow the legacy of the Prophet Musa, but they fall far short of his example.  They claim they are Allah’s chosen people but then refuse to give the message to others. ‘They claim, Everything will be forgiven for us.’

They follow laws and practices that no Prophet or Messenger ever taught.  They earned the wrath of Allah for their disobedience and as Allah said: there will be enemies who will attack them until the Day of Judgment unless they repent and return to the path.

Nothing of Prophet Musa’s original message survives today.  Only a few of the descendants of Bani Isra’il have remained pure and in search of the truth..  Those who are fortunate, discover Islam and study it with an open heart.  Then they become our Muslim brothers and sisters.  Only then do they follow in the footsteps of the Blessed Prophet Musa.”

p. 223 – “Many societies have placed a smaller value on the participation of women in spiritual life.  The descendants of the Bani Isra’il, who we know as the Jews, also have such feelings.  They even have a prayer in which a man thanks God for not making him a woman!”

p.366 – “Allah says in this ayah not to take non-Muslims as protectors.  Only fellow Muslims you can rely on should have authority or power over you.  Because in the end, a non-Muslim who knows you, and who doesn’t accept Islam, is a rebel against Allah’s way of life and will harm you in the end or try to make you like him or her.”

p. 377 – “Muslims dream of establishing the power of Islam in the world.  Muslims of all types and backgrounds agree that the Islamic system is the best for humanity in this life.

p.381 – “The way of life known as Islam is a complete code of life.  It was revealed by the Creator of the Universe as a guide for people to live their lives thereby.

This being the case, Islam provides answers for individuals, families as well as societies and governments.  There is no separation of Masjid and state for the object of the Islamic state is the establishment of the Deen of Allah.

By contrast, the object of Christian countries is the dominance of their nations over others and the gathering of riches (‘Survival of the fittest’ and ‘MIght makes right’ are their mottoes.”)

Muslims know that Allah is the Supreme Being in the universe, therefore, His laws and commandments must form the basis for all human affairs.  If we didn’t follow Allah’s commandments, but then still called ourselves Muslims, we would be hypocrites like the Christians, Buddhists and Jews are today.”

“The basis of the legal and political system is the Shari’ah of Allah.  Its main sources are the Qur’an and Sunnah.  People do not make the laws, Allah does.”

p.382 – “Non-Muslims (who are called Dhimmis when living in an Islamic state) who are loyal citizens of the country and pay their taxes (Jizyah) have equal rights with Muslims and have the right to practice their religion as they see fit.  No one can be persecuted and no one will be forced to change their beliefs.

In fact, the historians of the world recognize that Islamic civilization has been the most tolerant and fair out of all the world’s civilizations.”

**************

So when Sheikh Yasir Qadhi in Memphis asserts that Christians and Jews are spiritually “filthy” and Hamas-CAIR Director Dawud Walid tells his audience that the Jews incurred the wrath of Allah, they are simply reinforcing what young Islamists are being taught in Islamist schools.

remziya like yasir qahdi copy

And why should anyone be surprised that American Center for Outreach (ACO) Director Remziya Suleyman endorses these men, these schools and the supremacist doctrine taught to budding Islamists?

And don’t forget that repeat visitor to Nashville, Zaid Shakir, tells students “If Islam is the basis, the kafir [non-believer] won’t be equal with the Muslim. The Christian or the Jew will be a dhimmi [second-class citizen]. They won’t be equal with the Muslim.”

Perhaps this textbook could be the topic of Rabbi Schiftan’s next “honest dialogue” with Imam Bahloul a the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.  And to all the other Rabbis, Pastors, Ministers, and religious school instructors, consider that these are the same students that participate in the “Sons and Daughters of Abraham.”

Newsletter #92 – Doesn’t Anybody Vet the Speakers?!

What is going on in Nashville?

A rabbi of what is reputed to be the largest reform Jewish congregation trips over himself to buddy up to the imam and the Murfreesboro mosque.  Now Metro Nashville public schools, some of the city’s elite private schools (certainly the most expensive), and ALL of the Jewish congregations and Jewish organizations are promoting a program called “Stronger Together.”

If you check out the panel, the not so subtle message is ‘all of us minorities together against the big bad Christian majority.’  (This has that “special” Hedy Weinberg director of the TN-ACLU mark on it.)

The announcement says that the Jewish Federation’s Community Relations Council (CRC) has organized this event.  Presumably, they also picked the panelists, including the American Center for Outreach (ACO) director, Remziya Suleyman. This should come as no surprise since it looks like the CRC has been collaborating with anti-American leftists including the TN-ACLU on other projects.

The JCRC’s current chairman is Nashville lawyer, Mr. Irwin Venick.  The immediate past chairman is Mr. Avi Poster who is pictured and heavily involved with the CRC’s immigration coalition and the Family of Abraham events. Former JCRC chairman Avi Poster has been a member of the TN Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition Board of Directors since at least 2009.

Irwin Venick, a member of the The Temple, whose members will soon be visiting the Murfreesboro mosque, was part of the host committee of the first Family of Abraham event in Nashville.  So it should come as no surprise that the CRC and its associated activities have taken up promoting both Ms. Suleyman and the Islamist cause in Tennessee.

There has been plenty documented (and easily found on the internet), about Ms. Suleyman’s relationship with CAIR – herehere, and here (video) but that doesn’t seem to be an obstacle for the Jewish Federation.  CAIR is a branch of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood.  Not only was CAIR named an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing prosecution in the U.S., but CAIR’s ties to Hamas were confirmed a second time in 2009 when CAIR tried to have its unindicted co-conspirator status removed.  Federal Judge Solis stated unequivocally, that there was “ample evidence” tying CAIR to Hamas.

An interesting aside.  The video in the link above includes a picture of Ms. Suleyman and her friend Linda Sarsour at CAIR’s national 2012 banquet.  Ms. Sarsour, CAIR’s 2013 American Muslim of the Year can also take credit for tweeting that “[n]othing is creepier than Zionism.”  Read more about her here.

If you spend just a little more time tooling around the internet, you can discover Ms. Suleyman’s admiration for both the Nation of Islam and Rev. Al Sharpton, those notable friends of the Jews and Israel!  And the Jewish community in Nashville considers her a friend?  They are deluded.

The Jewish Federation CRC’s director is Abbie Wolf, whose resume shows that she has previously worked for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). In addition to confirming CAIR’s Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas ties, the ADL website adds this information about CAIR:

“CAIR also continues to offer a platform to conspiratorial Israel-bashers and outright anti-Semites.  For example, CAIR’s Florida chapter operates a Web site that makes anti-Semitic material available for visitors interested in learning about Islam. CAIR also organizes anti-Israel rallies during which protestors and speakers engage in anti-Semitic rhetoric, use offensive Holocaust imagery likening Jews and Israelis to Nazis, and express support for terror groups.”

So how exactly did Ms. Wolf vet her speakers?  Obviously she didn’t.  And she didn’t deem it necessary to have any “other” panelists from minority religions like the Hindus, who have the largest Hindu temple in the southeast in Nashville, or the Buddhists including the Vietnamese and Thai who’ve lived in Nashville for years.  But those groups don’t fit the ACLU/TIRRC/Alinskyite narrative of divisiveness, do they?
