Newsletter #159 – Islamist Bullying in Tennessee

Tennessee has a law against bullying in schools because we believe that bullying is bad. So every school district in Tennessee has policies committed to eradicating bullies.

But we tolerate Islamist bullying. These bullies use name-calling like “bigot” or “Islamophobe” whenever anyone raises questions about matters like Muslim Brotherhood networks, Muslim Brotherhood plan, or questions the “Muslim as oppressed victim” narrative.

We also tolerate the way in which mainstream media abets Islamist bullying.

On January 15th the Tennessean newspaper published Paul “Iesa” Galloway’s response to the Paris jihadi murders. Galloway is the new executive director of the American Center for Outreach (ACO) which he says represents the political voice of Muslims in Tennessee.

Galloway’s resume includes running his own public relations firm. He claims an expertise in “rebranding,” aka, professional spin doctor. He founded CAIR-Houston and operated it for four years. He served on Mohamed Elibiary’s Freedom and Justice Foundation board alongside arch Islamist Abdulhakim Mohammed, former imam at the Islamic Center of Nashville (ICN), who was a mentor to Memphis jihadi Carlos Bledsoe.

Galloway’s predecessor at ACO, Remziya Suleyman also used the “Muslim as victim” narrative and Islamophobia as her rallying cry. AMAC (American Muslim Advisory Council) founder and former chair, Daoud Abudiab will try to revive the Islamophobia tactic with his spring 2015 Islamophobia Conference.

“Islamophobia” is name-calling designed to suppress any criticism of Islam and Muslims. It was invented specifically for this purpose by a Muslim Brotherhood front organization, the International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT). The IIIT was part of a 5 year terrorism financing investigation for being the largest monetary donor to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group and because it has other questionable ties to terrorist groups.

Being a Muslim Brotherhood insider by virtue of his CAIR leadership, Galloway knows the Islamophobia tactic is losing its impact because subsequent to each jihadi attack, the public is less convinced that Muslims are the real victims. The Associated Press eliminated the term “Islamophobia” from its stylebook which is the media “bible” to guide accuracy in reporting. Remember this the next time you pick up a newspaper or read a report.

The Associated Press has also redefined “Islamist” as:

“An advocate or supporter of a political movement that favors reordering government and society in accordance with laws prescribed by Islam. Do not use as a synonym for Islamic fighters, militants, extremists or radicals, who may or may not be Islamists.”

This new definition is supported by CAIR. Why? Because it fits precisely to the short and long-term goals of the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan for the West as written in their 1991 Explanatory Memorandum.

Do You Think Islamists in Tennessee Are Credible?

Galloway is keeping the “Muslim as victim” narrative but emphasizing the “American Muslim” characterization to try and differentiate U.S. Islamists from the rest of the ummah. Suleyman tried that also. However, she wasn’t able to explain how Islamists here are different than the ones in France and England who say they want more, not less sharia in their lives.

Neither Suleyman nor Galloway can explain why Islamists say they want sharia no-go zones like the ones in France. A 2012 poll of U.S. Muslims showed that 40% want to be judged by sharia law over U.S. laws.

And Galloway says he is “frustrated” that Islamist leaders who disavow any and all acts of terrorism isn’t the final word on this issue? And why is this even relevant? After, actions speak louder than words.

Uber liberal Bill Maher doesn’t find Islamists credible either. Nor does he accept liberals who abet Islamist bullying. Islamists like Galloway and CAIR have Muslim Brotherhood DNA and aren’t credible either when challenged about their work to impose sharia law in the U.S.

In Tennessee, Galloway is faced with the same problem Suleyman encountered; they can’t support their political spin with facts because:

  • imams being imported to Tennessee to preach at the mosques and minister to Tennessee’s Muslims, have been Islamically educated either in Saudi Arabia or at Al Ahzar University in Egypt. Al Azhar, credited with starting the Islamist movement, is closely tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and stands for the propagation of Islam and sharia law for all the world.
  • Muslim advisory councils like Tennessee’s AMAC were conceived with the help and support of Muslim Brotherhood organizations like the IIIT, CAIR and the Muslim American Society (MAS) and have the same goals.
  • AMAC founder and Board member and former ACO Civic Engagement Coordinator, Drost Kokoye, routinely demonstrates (here and here), the same anti-Semitic Jew hatred which fuels the Muslim Brotherhood’s Hamas. CAIR’s executive director Nihad Awad, a regular visitor to the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro, has publicly stated his support for Hamas; no surprise since CAIR was started by leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine, which included Nihad Awad.
  • Drost complains publicly about being labeled an American and then her co-worker Suleyman complains about being considered an “other”

drost new american

  • the Muslim Brotherhood front organization the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) says it supports gay rights and then Tennessee Islamist activists Drost and Suleyman publicly mock gay marriage:

Untitled1

  • AMAC founder and board member Sabina Mohyuddin praises Muslim Brotherhood organizations for helping American Muslims “stay true to their religious values while being uniquely American.”
  • Islamist leaders like Galloway and Daoud Abudiab work to co-opt interfaith dialogue while students at the private Islamic school in Knoxville, Annoor Academy, use a textbook that reinforces negative stereotypes and misinformation about Christians and Jews.
  • Imams in Tennessee mosques bring in CAIR and Muslim Brotherhood Islamist speakers like Jamal Badawi and Siraj Wahhaj, who preaches that the U.S. should and will become an Islamic state because “Islam is better than democracy” and refuses to condemn Osama bin Laden for 9/11. And speakers like Zaid Shakir who tells the young Islamists that under sharia law “the kafir [non-Muslims] won’t be equal with the Muslim. The Christian or the Jew will be a dhimmi. They won’t be equal with the Muslim.”
  • the European Court of Human Rights held as sharia law that: “a sharia-based regime was incompatible with the fundamental principles of democracy as set forth in the Convention [on human rights]… particularly with regard to its criminal law and criminal procedure, its rules on the legal status of women and the way it intervened in all spheres of private and public life in accordance with religious precepts.”

Tennessee Islamists Galloway, Suleyman, and AMAC representatives claim that the way to counter what they believe is hate speech against Islam and Muslims, is more speech. But when they don’t like what they hear or when their propaganda is exposed, they revert to bullying.

Whether its “American Muslims” or “Muslim Americans” doing the bullying, they still can’t put lipstick on the Islamophobia pig.

Newsletter #80 – Nashville’s Radical Mosque Hosts Radical Speaker Tonight

BNgQEHSCAAAdiXm.jpg-largeSiraj Wahhaj – raised as a Baptist but converted to Islam under the leadership of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.  He is the imam at the al-Taqwa mosque in New York.  He preaches that the U.S. should and will become an Islamic state because “Islam is better than democracy.”

What does Wahhaj tell his audiences?

“Islam is better than democracy. Allah will cause his deen [Islam as a complete way of life], Islam to prevail over every kind of system, and you know what? It will happen.”

“If only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate. If we were united and strong, we’d elect our own emir and give allegiance to him. Take my word, if eight million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us,” he said in 1992.

“You don’t get involved in politics because it’s the American thing to do. You get involved in politics because politics are a weapon to use in the cause of Islam.” http://www.clarionproject.org/analysis/popular-muslim-iman-working-towards-sharia-america

There is much more to read about Wahhaj at the Clarion Project.

Memphis Imam Yasir Qadhi who calls “Christians filthy” and here delivers the same message as Wahhaj:

qadhi political engagement 3 As reported by USA Today, “Yasir Qadhi, who lectured at the Boston mosque in April 2009, has advocated replacing U.S. democracy with Islamic rule…”

Make no mistake, he has lots in common with radicalist Wahhaj.

Newsletter #78 – How TN Muslims Can Have Successful Community Outreach

Bill Hobbs (rated as a Tennessean newspaper “top commenter), attended the Manchester June 4th TN American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC) program and posted this comment in response to Tennessean reporter Nicole Young’s account:

“AMAC – the American Muslim Advisory Council, which sponsored the event – made a stupid PR mistake by inviting the federal prosecutor, Bill Killian, to be part of their “get to know us muslims” event, since that meant the audience would assume that the muslims agreed with Killian that anti-Islamic speech could be a crime. I spoke with two Muslims afterward – one of the speakers, and one, a young Somali man – and both agreed that it is not a crime to say something offensive to someone of any religion.

Regardless, here are some suggestions for AMAC’s next event to avoid another failed effort:

-Leave American Center for Outreach (ACO) Remziya Suleyman home.  She continues to call anyone that disagrees with her, a “hater” so it’s hard to make friends with her.  Everyone knows that her Kurdish identity is her top priority putting her at odds with mainstream Muslims that don’t seem to care too much about the Kurds.

-Leave Drost Kokoye from TIRRC at home also.  Typically at a loss for objective data on issues, she follows Suleyman’s lead for sophmoric name-calling leaving her no credibility on any issue involving Muslims or illegal immigrants (what she calls the “i” word).

-Forget generalized condemnation about terrorism.  Be prepared to explain why “Soldier of Allah” Nidal Hassan and Tennessean Carlos Bledsoe really didn’t commit jihad.  Maybe consider publicly denouncing Hamas, Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood.

-Rethink showing any part of the propaganda film “Welcome to Shelbyville” and be prepared instead to explain why it’s the receiving communities that have to change.

-Leave your government watchdogs at home, especially ones who want to abuse the Constitution and willingly dumb down those responsible for our national security.

-People understand what the OIC is trying to do with Res. 16/18 so you might consider explaining why you believe saying something offensive to Muslims or insulting to Islam should be a crime under the First Amendment’s protection for free speech.  People also remember what happened to cartoonist Molly Norris when she suggested an “Everybody draw Mohammed Day”

-Understand that your audience understands and/or has watched the following and be prepared to address questions about:

-Memphis Imam Yasir Qadhi who calls Christians, among other things, “filthy” and here

-Islamic Center of Tennessee Imam Abdullah Al Ansari who said:

“He [Allah] told us to fight the Jews and Christians. Fight them until they give jizya.  They give this protective tax from their hands and they are humiliated and subdued.  If Islam, true Islam and true Muslims do not rule there will never be justice.  Don’t think that Barak Obama can give you justice.  No one can give you justice except a just Muslim ruler”.

-Islamic Center of Nashville Imam Mohammed Ahmed who told attendees at the June 2011 meeting of the Religion Communicators Council that he supported the Egyptian police forced virginity tests performed on female protesters in Tahrir Square.  The imam explained:  “Why? It’s a very interesting fact that the police giving you a heads up, ‘oh, those people are not virgin’.  That’s mean they are not good people”.

-Awadh Binhazim, former vice president of the Islamic Center of Nashville, founding member of the Islamic Center of TN, co-founder of the Olive Tree Foundation, former CAIR chapter president, chaplain of the MSA at Vanderbilt University and proponent of interfaith dialogue with Jews and Christians can be seen in the “Losing Our Sons” video speaking to Muslims behind closed doors asserting that Torah and the Gospel have been twisted by “the corrupt rabbis and priests of the time” who “distorted the word of God.”

-why AMJA, the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America says Muslims shouldn’t condone or endorse non-Muslims celebrating non-Muslim holidays such as wishing a celebrating Christian neighbor “Merry Christmas”

-why Islamic leaders bring speakers to radicalize Tennesssee Muslim students, such as Zaid Shakir who tells his audiences that he hopes  “to see the “day in which America is a Muslim country ruled by Islamic law”, or Siraj Wahhaj who claims that “Islam is the solution” and preaches that the U.S. should and will become an Islamic state because “Islam is better than democracy.” Wahhaj will be speaking at the Muslim Brotherhood Islamic Center of Tennessee during the first week of Ramadan.

-Muslims rebuke Jews and Christians in their daily prayers.

-you might consider apologizing for spreading untruths about the anti-terrorism material support bill that was intended to protect everyone in the state, including Muslims from the very people you claim are hijacking your religion

In fact, you should consider dropping the victimhood theme or better yet, look Andy Long’s father in the eye and tell him you’re the victim.  No dare you.  Sorry.

Understand that as long as you stay tied to groups like CAIR, ISNA and any other unindicted co-conspirator and Muslim Brotherhood front group, your campaign in Tennessee will be resisted.

The only way to be credible is to be honest.  Try it.

Newsletter #59 – Muslim American Center for Outreach appropriates Black History month

Playing to its fabricated-for-political-purposes victim status, the Tennessee Muslim American Center for Outreach (formerly referred to simply as American Center for Outreach or ACO) and the Muslim Community of Knoxville, will be commemorating Black History month by talking about Muslims.

beck center

A narrative being shopped by CAIR and other U.S. Islamist organizations is that Muslims were among the slaves brought to the New World by the Europeans. Sharing the slave experience with Muslim and non-Muslim African-Americans, they then bootstrap this to the current U.S. Muslim political narrative of a shared civil rights struggle.

The February 8th speakers panel

Remziya Suleyman, Director of the Muslim American Center for Outreach (MACO), told her audience (around minute 44) this past June that even though she didn’t know what sharia was, she was going to defend it.  “I never knew the concept of sharia…I called imams across the state and I was like guys what is sharia?  I gotta go talk to politicians.”  She also brought Hamas-linked, unindicted Holy Land Foundation co-conspirator CAIR to Tennessee to assist her.

Imam Rafiq Mahdi, a black American convert to Islam who started with the racist and anti-Semitic Nation of Islam completed his Islamic training in Saudi Arabia at the University of Medina.  His resume includes serving at what was described as a “small fundamentalist mosque” in Florida, a mosque that also served the needs of Jose Padilla who with ties to al Qaeda, was convicted of planning a “dirty bomb” attack in support of jihad.  Imam Mahdi believes that “Islam is Islam, and it has been since it was revealed 1400 and some odd years ago, and it is not the right of any individual to take it upon themselves to change it based on their own rationale or want or desire. We want to keep it in the truest form.”  He claims that most Muslims do not see Hamas as a terrorist organization, and he would like to hear Osama Bin Laden’s “side of the story” because he’s not convinced he was behind 9/11.  In 2002, helped fundraise for the KindHearts Foundation which shut down under suspicion of raising money for Hamas.

Malik Shaw is also a black American convert to Islam.  He is currently the Vice Principal at the Muslim Brotherhood Pleasant View School in Memphis discussed in Newsletter #43.   Shaw and his wife, also a convert, helped to start the American Muslim Intercultural Network “to address the needs of the Muslims of American heritage.” Each month, they host “Convert-sations,” in part to remind Americans of their Muslim roots.

The Islamic Slave Trade was REAL and predated the European Slave Trade

Thanks to the Council on Islamic Education (CIE) historical facts about the Islamic slave trade have either been written out or whitewashed in social studies textbooks, so no one should be surprised if the panel speakers are not well informed about this unclaimed part of their history.

Chelby Daigle, a Black Muslim in Canada writing about Black History month for “Muslim Link” states:

I often find it frustrating to be around Muslims during Black History Month. Why? Because, although there is often a celebration of Black converts to Islam, like Malcolm X, and condemnation of the Transatlantic Slave Trade perpetrated by the West, there is little, if any, examination of the history of slavery in Muslim societies or of the persistence of anti-Black racism within these societies as well as within Muslim communities in Canada. The reality is I have faced more blatant anti-Black racism from my fellow Muslims than I ever did growing up in a predominantly White community.

It is important for Muslims to look deeper at their particular societies of origin in order to see how the enslavement of Black peoples in these societies has led to the development of anti-Black racism. For example, the fact that in several Arab dialects the word ʻabd, meaning slave, is used to refer to any Black person demonstrates that in these societies the equation of Black people with slaves still persists.

In 2002, historian Dr. Kwaku Pearson-Lynn, also of African descent, in her piece titled “Christianity, Islam and Slavery” asserts that the Arab invasion of North Africa in the 7th century A.D. to spread Islam also changed the face of slavery in this part of the world.  “Afrikans were captured, treated brutally and inhumanely, then shipped off to other Arab countries in Asia, or other parts of Afrika that they controlled. This happened approximately 600 years before the European Christians got involved.”

Her academic integrity also addresses the contributions of Christians and Jews to the travesty of the slave trade.  HOWEVER, she notes that the slave trading in force today is conducted “still in the name of Islam.”  Simon Deng, Francis Bok and Charles Jacobs can personally confirm this fact.

Regardless of the Islamist pitch, there is no humanity in slavery regardless of Islam’s alleged doctrinal allowances for humane treatment of slaves.

Given that Islam in the Black slave history plays a similar and yet continuing role, why would Black Americans ever convert to Islam?  Why embrace a religion and culture whose lexicon denigrates Black humanity in both word and act?

What would happen if Islamist organizations allowed the accurate history of the Islamic slave trade to be taught in schools or even included in textbooks?  Do Muslim writers avoid the truth of the Islamic slave trade because it is not safe for them to write about a part of Muslim history  that reflects negatively on Islam?

Black American Muslims that the panel may not mention

Siraj Wahhaj– raised as a Baptist but converted to Islam under the leadership of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.  He is the imam at the al-Taqwa mosque in New York.  He preaches that the U.S. should and will become an Islamic state because “Islam is better than democracy.”

Abdullah Faaruuqformer imam at Northeastern University apparently removed from this position due to his public support for Islamist radicals and terrorists.

Dr. Sherman Abdal-Hakim Jackson – University of Michigan professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies and Black American convert to Islam.  Has served as a trustee for the Muslim Brotherhood North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) and the Fiqh Council of North America (that signed off on the authenticity of the English translation of the Sharia Law manual “Reliance of the Traveller”).  Featured speaker at the Canadian “Reviving the Islamic Spirit” annual convention, it was reported that “[h]e believes that the Muslim and Western worlds are in conflict and competition, and that only one can end up dominant. Put simply, he wants to replace Western culture with Muslim culture.”

Clement Rodney Hampton-El, (aka, Abdul Rashid Abdullah), American Black Muslim convicted in the first World Trade Center bombing.

Hasan Akbar, Black American convert to Islam was found guilty and given a death sentence for murdering 2 and wounding 14 fellow troops in 2003 when he threw grenades and fired his weapon into tents at Camp Pennsylvania in Kuwait while the soldiers were sleeping.

Carlos Bledsoe, Black American from Memphis who converted to Islam and was radicalized to commit jihad at the Army recruiting center in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Watch “Losing Our Sons” video for the complete story.

Keith Ellison, the Minnesota Congressman who claims to know nothing about the Muslim Brotherhood despite having his 16 day hajj trip to Saudi Arabia paid for by a Brotherhood front group as well as helping to fundraise for CAIR and they for him; also has a past history with the Nation of Islam.

Andre Carson, a Black American convert to Islam with family ties to the Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan, is a Democrat from Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives who thinks U.S. public schools should be modeled after Islamic madrassas…where the foundation is the Quran.

*********

No matter how much effort is put into revising or whitewashing documented historical facts, crimes against humanity in the form of slavery are not limited to the white European slave trade.  Muslims have their own slave trade history even if they choose to ignore it.

Denying their own history makes anything else they want you to believe suspect.
