Newsletter #82 -Would Senator Brian Kelsey change his vote today?

Not likely given his support for all causes Islamist.

Kelsey speaks at Memphis fundraiser “Advocating for TN Muslims”

In the 2012 legislative session, Sen. Kelsey, then a member of the Senate Education Committee, spoke passionately against a bill designed to limit the number of H1B visas used to staff publicly funded charter schools.  He voted against the bill in committee and again in the full Senate.

Kelsey’s mantra was “we want the best and the brightest by whatever means.”

TCPJ May 3, 2012 newsletter detailed the high usage of H1B visas by the Cosmos Foundation to staff its U.S. charter schools.  The Cosmos Foundation operates charter schools that fit Gulen school characteristics.     Connections were documented between Cosmos and the Memphis School of Excellence, the failed Knoxville Charter Academy, and the then pending charter applications of the W.E.B. DuBois Consortium.

Turkish-Americans recently held a protest against the Gulenist infiltration into U.S. charter schools.  One sign may have said it best: “The Most Dangerous Islamist in the World.” [Fetullah Gulen]

In Gulen’s private 1999 sermon that was leaked to Turkish television he “revealed his aspirations for an Islamist Turkey ruled by Sharia (Islamic law) as well as the methods that should be used to attain it:

“You must move in the arteries of the system without anyone noticing your existence until you reach all the power centers… until the conditions are ripe, they [the followers] must continue like this.  If they do something prematurely, the world will crush our heads, and Muslims will suffer everywhere…”

It does make you wonder what the protesters know and understand about Gulen’s connection to Turkey’s Prime Minister Erdogan efforts to Islamacize Turkey.  Erdogan was quoted in 1998:

“the mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets, and the faithful our soldiers.”

CBN reporter Erick Stakelbeck’s new book “The Brotherhood: America’s Next Great Enemy” , Chapter 6, confirms the very real concerns expressed by the anti-Gulen protesters.  He writes:

“…classified documents released by WikiLeaks in 2011 show that U.S. officials know exactly what Gulen is up to. ‘Gulen supporters account for an increasing proportion of [the]…nonimmigrant visa applicant pool.”

Another section of the leaked cable….states, ‘have multiple reliable reports that the Gulenists use their school network (including dozens of schools in the U.S.) to cherry-pick students they think are susceptible to being molded as proselytizers…’

A Middle East analyst from the Heritage Foundation says Fetullah Gulen the Turkish imam after whom the Gulenist movement is named describes his movement as the “New World Islamic Order.”

Stakelbeck quotes French-Turkish scholar Bayram Balci’s summation of the Gulenist movement which “serves to accomplish three intellectual goals: the Islamization of the Turkish nationalist ideology; the Turkification of Islam; and the Islamization of modernity.”

As Stakelbeck points out, the work of Islamists, whether of the Turkish Gulenist or the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood variety, in the end is designed to destroy both Israel and the West.

And legislators like Tennessee Senator Brian Kelsey are doing all they can to help.
